1.⁠ ⁠GENERAL TERMS

By renting a vehicle from Puerto Rico Car Rental, you agree to the following terms and conditions. These terms govern your rental agreement and your use of our rental vehicles.

2.⁠ ⁠RENTAL REQUIREMENTS

The renter must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license and a major credit card in their name.

Renters aged 21-24 may rent with an additional young driver fee.

An international driver’s permit is required for non-U.S. license holders.

3.⁠ ⁠PAYMENT AND SECURITY DEPOSIT

A valid credit card is required for all rentals. Debit cards may be accepted with additional verification.

A security deposit will be held on the card at the time of rental and released upon vehicle return, pending inspection.

4.⁠ ⁠INSURANCE AND LIABILITY

Renters must have valid insurance that meets Puerto Rico’s minimum requirements.

Optional coverage is available for an additional fee.

The renter is responsible for all damages, theft, or loss unless covered by purchased insurance.

5.⁠ ⁠VEHICLE USE RESTRICTIONS

The vehicle must not be driven outside of Puerto Rico.

The vehicle must not be used for racing, towing, or illegal activities.

Smoking and transporting pets (unless in an approved carrier) is prohibited.

6.⁠ ⁠FUEL POLICY

The vehicle must be returned with the same fuel level as rented.

A refueling fee will apply if the vehicle is returned with less fuel.

7.⁠ ⁠RETURN POLICY AND LATE FEES

Vehicles must be returned at the agreed-upon time.

A grace period of 45 minutes is allowed; beyond this, late fees will apply.

Vehicles returned after past the due time may be subject to an additional full-day rental charge.

8.⁠ ⁠CANCELLATION AND NO-SHOW POLICY

Cancellations made at least 48 hours before the rental start time will receive a full refund.

No-shows or cancellations within 48 hours may be subject to a cancellation fee.

9.⁠ ⁠ROAD ASSISTANCE

Roadside assistance is available for mechanical failures at no extra cost.

Lockouts, flat tires, and battery jumps may incur additional charges.

10.⁠ ⁠PRIVACY POLICY

Personal information collected is used solely for rental processing and will not be shared without consent, except as required by law.

11.⁠ ⁠MODIFICATIONS TO TERMS

Puerto Rico Car Rental reserves the right to modify these terms at any time. The latest version will be available on our website.
